Outside of basketball, Kyrie is a philanthropist, progressive social justice advocate, and actor. They are the heavy odds-on favorites to win the championship this year. So the Nets now have three of the best players in the world and are currently in the playoffs. They have dominated all season and, after trading a host of their players to get James Harden in January of 2021, the trio form the new Big 3. Then they began their second season together as healthy superstars in December of 2020. Irving and Durant encountered serious injuries in that first season and thus the Nets got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. Then he moved to the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 where he teamed up with Kevin Durant to form a superteam. After requesting a trade in 2017, Kyrie moved from the Cavs to the Boston Celtics in 2017, where he spent two successful seasons in Boston. He has been voted an All-Star 7 times and won a championship with Lebron James for the Cavs in 2016. He won NBA Rookie of the Year that season and quickly became a superstar. And after a successful year at Duke, Kyrie went straight to the NBA and was drafted #1 in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He then committed to play for Duke University. Playing high school ball while growing up in New Jersey, he was the #1 player in the nation as a high schooler. He plays the positions of point guard and shooting guard.
He is also perhaps the most offensively skilled player in NBA history, too. He is widely considered to be one of the top 10 players in the world, as well as the greatest dribbler and ball-handler in NBA history-and one of the greatest shooters and finishers under the rim.
